@_Leila Sometimes I stand in the kitchen and (regardless of what I'm doing in there) just say "The kitchen's closed." The kids don't question it. It's like magic.
@EricTopol I have heard that toxins are released in mother's breastmilk in higher concentrations with the first child (in other words, first time breastfeeding)--not sure if this is true! Very curious if this might be at play.
@TaylorRMarshall I once sat with my father and eight children at an upscale restaurant in Vero Beach, FL—my kids were beautifully dressed and well behaved. A nearby couple loudly asked me (in front of granddad and children): haven’t you ever heard of birth control? Shameful behavior.
@_Leila They are treating this baby as what they believe him to be--something to keep around as their play thing and entertainment (and apparently other peoples' entertainment). An accessory. Not as the child of God he truly is.
@mrsdobbins_ For a girl--any books by Elsa Beskow or Sibylle von Olfers. Or The Little House by Virginia Lee Burton. For a boy--Tim books by Edward Ardizzone or Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel by Virginia Lee Burton. For either gender--Jan Brett.
