The reddit comments corpus is an amazing dataset but it is also amazingly slow to work with. I have been running code for days just trying to loop through it. I think my hard drive is going to melt.

My (non-linguist) friends have an ongoing debate about "bail out" vs. "bail" to mean leaving an event or cancelling plans. Hearing this debate on loop for weeks has caused me to acquire whichever one I didn't have so be careful prescriptivists your plans may backfire lol
