People in movies in elevators: *has a magical moment and finds true love*
Me in elevators: why are you talking to me?

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@Supernerdtual96 It's -40F for a lot of the year here. They'd freeze

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@ineedanapplebox She decided she's too good for sunscreen and got really bad sunburn

[Emily M @emilyadele]

Sorry to do this but made a small wishlist for my interns and I this school year. Anything is appreciated, nothing is expected :)

@UsesTransit Agreed! I had to pay so much money for a cab because my plane was late and the light rail stopped running only 10 minutes before we landed :(

Your body has always been loyal to you. Even when you called it names, starved it for acceptance or punished it for not looking like someone else’s. Your body is not a problem to be solved. It’s not a delayed project or a failed promise. Your body is not a before or after photo.

@castrowas95 When my friends and I were all single, we made fun of it. We still do with our single friends..it's weird to pose with a dead slimy animal

@go1dwing I met at rfamily at the Mall of America who had lived in the same town and THE SAME HOUSE at a different time all the way in Michigan

@EliMcCann This is so wholesome lol

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@kareem_carr 😂😂 this took me a second

@EDUwithEmily And the parent said it a second time loud enough for the principal to hear. I support teachers but this specific one is just one of the teachers who want power rather than being there for students and education.

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@EDUwithEmily One of the teachers at my school did this and didn't even get in trouble as far as I know. One of the parents told her very loudly that their job is to educate, they will not deprive children of education, and if they don't want to do that, they need another job.

When your intern accidentally says she peaked in high school and you're a professional but you're also funny.

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@NicoleLewisLCSW I'm a whole social worker who is very involved in my community and she's done more in the last year than I have in my pinky. And I try really hard to be a benefit to my community. That's wild they're coming after her like that

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@LittleMissFlint I'm almost 35 years old and I have looked up to you and admired you since you were little! I'm constantly thinking about how proud I am of you and how much more like you I could be!

[Emily M @emilyadele]

My boyfriend's first language is Farsi and I'm learning, slowly but surely. Ed Sheeran is coming out with a song with a Farsi title. This boy literally looks at me and jokingly goes, " Why aren't you learning Farsi as fast as Ed Sheeran? You're smarter than him." 😂😂😂

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@whatMsKsaid @MplsWard4 I'm wondering Councilman Osman didn't mention Elliot Park either.. Metro Youth Diversion Program was doing fabulous work in our neighborhood and Cedar-Riverside as well. Wild.

A bunch of our neighbors were really upset about this decision to terminate these contracts.

[oatmeal influencer @acechhh]

as a social worker I can safely say money (even somewhere around $10k-$20k) would significantly improve most of my clients lives. it really fuels my hatred for billionaires

[Muting/Blocking = Self Care @QueeringPsych]

Please search your therapist’s license or permit on your state’s state board/office of professions website to make sure it’s legit

I’m hearing too many stories of people recently graduating & going right into private practice with no license or supervision

THAT’S ILLEGAL

[Emily M @emilyadele]

@QueeringPsych That's terrifying.

@lydiakauppi I had a guy explain to me recently what a budget was. Not what that particular budget was for, the contents of it, but what a budget was....
