I’m a strong advocate for daily physical activity in the improvement of both physical & mental health. If I’m stressed about anything I make sure to take time to get to the gym because I know I always feel better when I’m leaving. I feel accomplished and refreshed. #HKR1000
@MeganFAllen01 This is great! I think daily physical activity, whether it be a walk or going to the gym, is so important for stress relief. I always feel refreshed after. #HKR1000
@JoshuaRowe0 I agree! There’s so much evidence supporting why having an active lifestyle can promote wellness. Along with benefiting physical wellness daily exercise can also provide benefits for a person’s emotional wellness, which is another dimension of wellness we learned about. #HKR1000
Exercising, an aspect of physical wellness, decreased when the pandemic began & stress, an aspect of emotional wellness, increased. The stress of the global situation & the fact that all gyms/activity centres were closed, were main causes of this. #HKR1000 https://t.co/PjPgsO3kGO
@natalie_daltonn I used to stay up very late studying and then try to get through my next day on 4-6 hours of sleep, it was draining. I was more irritable and I would wake up feeling like I didn’t even sleep. I make sure I get 7-8 hours every night now and it’s made all the difference! #HKR1000
47.37% of our class scored a 10 in the ‘Alcohol and Drugs’ section of our lab. I think it’s easy for university students to end up with unhealthy coping mechanisms when it comes to drugs and alcohol so this result is great to see! #HKR1000
