Gladys Berejiklian is the #KoalaKiller
@DougStanhope Blurgh Mindhunter was dealable for the first season; amazing performances by a few of the actors but it was a bit paint by numbers narrative-wise.
Dead to me was good-ish for the first season, but I abandoned it two episodes into season two because it just wasn't working for me.
I keep seeing essays about “how to build the perfect body” but not one *single* essay about how building a body is an act of monumental hubris that will backfire tragically when it comes to life and escapes from the lab, swearing vengeance on you, its creator.
AUSTRALIANS!!!
PLEASE, STAY HOME! (DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY IF YOU CAN HELP IT!)
Keep you and your family isolated and safe because honestly, the government ARE NOT going to tell what what's good for you.
THEY'LL ONLY TELL YOU WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY!! #covid19australia
Deputy CMO just let the cat out of the bag in the last @leighsales question - effectively, Cabinet is compromising the medical advice for its (deficient) economic hopes. (Economic "plan" would be the wrong word). @abc730
The telltale was in the barbershop absurdity.
@JoshThomas87 Scomo has been telling the public "don't worry, send your kids to school because children aren't affected by COVID-19 the way adults/older people are" as if he doesn't know that while children are asymptomatic, they can still catch it and bring it home to their families.
@JoshThomas87 People aren't understanding/hearing that; it's airborne, you can be asymptomatic and still be infected and infecting others. Schools and daycares with confirmed COVID-19 cases are STAYING OPEN despite the high likelihood that the infection has gone to others....
When the GFC hit Australia, our rate of unemployment increased by 30%.
With COVID19, we might surpass that.
But might this mean there'll *finally* be enough pressure to increase welfare payments and reform the Draconian systematic punishment of the unemployed/disabled?
If there ever was a moment that showed us the need for all people to be able to get health care regardless of their income, this is that moment. Medicare for All now.
