Sometimes the promise we heard from God does not come overnight, which is why the waiting period is so important. It is not a time to be discouraged, rather a time to lean in more to who He is. We can put our hope and faith in the One who loves us and has a plan for our lives.

It's easy to get discouraged in waiting seasons. That's why it's wise to fill the gap between here & there by proclaiming every hint of God’s activity. We can make a list & acknowledge that just because God is silent in one area of our life doesn’t mean He’s silent in every area.

The best things we can do in the midst of life's struggles? Go to the solid truth of God’s Word. Declare His promises. Believe He is for us.

There's a reason we don’t have all the answers to our “why” questions. God isn’t trying to be distant or mysterious or hard to understand. He’s being merciful.

We don’t have to know the plan to trust there is a plan. We just have to fix our thoughts on Jesus.
