@anneelizzie @BSBIbotany @wildflower_hour There are images of using the seed heads for carding the wool which was then used to spin yarn, although this might be a myth, misinformation or romantic image made up by artists I still like the idea of it 😉

Some Green-flowered Helleborines in the recently discovered extended colony @WhisbyNatureRes have managed to flower despite the weather, my favourites 😍

Annual monitoring by myself and @emilyksum has resulted in a new area being found at Whisby for Green-flowered Helleborine. Over 1,500 orchids present in a difficult to access part of the woodland, including this 9 stemmed individual! @LWTWildNews @ukorchids @LincsNaturalist
