Me: Remember the short-lived 2009 NBC drama, KINGS — a retelling of David & Goliath but in an alternate reality where the United States is a monarchy and it’s ruled by a king played by Ian McShane but also starred a young Sebastian Stan as his closeted prince son???
'WITCH HAT ATELIER' English ADR Director Emily Fajardo used accents to build the world and tell a story
"There is a clear class divide. There are a lot of social differences between these groups of people, and I wanted that to be immediately audible, and accents are a very good quick way to do that"
"In English, we automatically associate different history and class structures with these sounds, and so Coco and all the outsiders that she lives with all have the standard American accent."
what i love so much about chosen is that it wraps up buffy's arc so well. she spent so much time craving normalcy bc she saw her power as a curse but by the end she values it enough to share. she sees it as a gift, now that there's community. she finally accepts buffy the slayer
Buffy the Vampire Slayer has a finale that genuinely feels earned. After years of carrying the weight of being “the chosen one,” Buffy finally sharing that power with every potential slayer turns the ending into something hopeful instead of tragic.
