debating leaving my nhs bank post and as such leaving the nhs completely. would mean a gap in my service tho if I ever did go back and subsequently Iโd get put back to the bottom of my banding if I went for another band 5 job. hmmm.
@Liz_ORiordan@mailplus ur articles/videos/book have all been really helpful for both my mum (Dx and treated last yr wi hormone +BC) and me (28 years old and now trying to reduce my risk factors). thank you โบ๏ธ
@helen_spirit1@SPRKeith@ScottishPower this is my 79 year old grans (from sept-dec) it was supposed to be ยฃ958.70 but reduced by gov payments. she lives alone in 2 bed house, no dishwasher, washing machine on once/week, doesnโt use the oven. have to keep heating on low due to health problems.
loving my new job. loving WFH. I never thought I would leave a patient facing role. did a bank shift last week and was reminded why I left the nhs. I feel so sorry for everyone trying their best in what are horrendous circumstances. I feel so sorry for the patients.
the fact the health secretary or PM wonโt even engage with the English/Welsh nursing unions is so insulting. at least here we were given an offer and there was a dialogue. still waiting on the RCNs results of our ballot though, should be out today ๐ค๐ผ
1 year since I left my old job. made the right decision but bank/agency nursing so far hasnโt been particularly fulfilling and is quite isolating at times. looking forward to starting my new post, never thought Iโd work from home lol.
@RCNScot still havenโt received mine, had a call from someone from RCN last week to check my details and said to get in touch if I hadnโt got it by Monday? any advice? thanks
having to give my cat buprenorphine everyday this week n I do kind of wish all my patients were small enough to hold and easily distracted with skooshy cream, it certainly would make drug rounds a lot easier.
another day in the nhs where the patients just are not getting the care they should be. feel helpless n itโs horrible seeing other nurses crying cause of how overwhelmed they are. ๐
good to see unison in crosshouse today raising awareness of the campaign for fair pay. unlike my union who decided to suspend campaigning (we were meant to get our postal ballots on strike action out today!) without asking their members first โบ๏ธ
today I have the first meeting of the Scottish governments new panel for people with a lived experience of dementia ๐ really looking forward to seeing what we can do to implement positive change to benefit the 90,000 ppl with dementia in Scotland and their families/carers etc
Iโve been thinking about this piece for a year. Thereโs so much more I could say. The only thing that matters is that Martha should be alive todayโฆ

Devastating post on TGG today about a GP who has died by suicide ๐ข
Consent from Gailโs husband for these screenshots to be shared. The pressure NHS GPs are under is immense. It needs urgent action.
Whatโs the plan @BMA_GP@rcgp@NHSEngland? ๐
omg this happened in my old ward except the ๐ฉ was left by a mystery shitter in the corridor outside the entrance to the ward, everyone was arguing about whoโs โjurisdictionโ it was to clean it up ๐ญ
