I'm sick of seeing XL Bully owners doing gymnastics to defend those dogs!

I do think this is about the owner's failings more than the dog's, but, unfortunately, American 'XL Bully' dogs have a clear target market. They are often poorly trained or trained to fight. Most owners I see (and I see quite a few on the daily) have no control of their dogs on the lead or have them off the lead in public green spaces - terrifying everyone in the vicinity.

I'd be far less concerned if a Jack Russel broke free of its lead and ran at me than if an XL Bully did. Breed size is a significant factor here.
The ban is absolutely right.
