"Can my husband find out who I am voting for in the Presidential Election?" 🗳️
We've been getting this question a lot, so we rounded up some helpful facts. Please share this 🧵
This is not okay. Would love to see you at the school board meeting TONIGHT or we have some more calls to action in a document I’ll thread. https://t.co/GKlQBvinKf
I just signed three bills into law that:
✔️Protect people seeking or providing abortions in Minnesota
✔️Ban the harmful practice of conversion “therapy”
✔️Protect access to gender-affirming health care
In Minnesota, we’re protecting rights – not taking them away.
the NYPD is on pace to blow past its allotted overtime budget for FY2023 by ~$366 million which is 16X what it would cost to keep public libraries open on the weekends. Keep in mind, $366 million isn’t their OT budget, it’s what the NYPD went OVER their allotted OT budget ($374M)
Please share this far and wide.
This is a real loss for St. Paul, and an all too common story that BIPOC teachers are the first to be let go. And, of course, cuts to SpEd and ELL. Of course education funding is hard, but this is not the way to serve our communities.
Yesterday I learned that my kids' school, JJ Hill Montessori in St. Paul Public Schools, in addition to cutting special ed and ELL staff, is letting go its only black teacher due to budget cuts. (thread)
I've also heard of other new pre-K sections opening up, so why would they be shutting one down? The school is even moving to a larger building (Obama) in the next couple of years.
St. Paul plans back-to-back snow emergencies starting 9 p.m. Wednesday. How will that work and where the #$@Qx! should I move my car TWICE?! Stop yelling and check out 8 free downtown ramps, an online map + other Snow Emergency Hacks. You read that right: https://t.co/PC9RvkEJyK
