My favorite presentation from this semester was from Harold D’Souza. has such an amazing story and I am so glad we got to hear how he experienced and survived human trafficking. https://t.co/nZICvFOwdb #ucchangestheworld
One step I will take to “change the world” is to begin donating more of my finances to help end poverty locally in Cincinnati. @weller_world#ucchangestheworld
Sarah Shepard spoke about Blackout Trafficking. They have raised over $75,000 from people wearing single black item for 31 days! They are about to celebrate 10 years. Please check out their website linked below.

This week Amy Bull did a presentation on @crsrdschurch GO trips. In India, 90% of girls were getting retrafficked after being taking out of where they were. Because of this, Crossroads specifically focus on after care for victims of sex trafficking.#ucchangestheworld
@sara_spins started to help provide her with a wheel chair but has grown to help produce others with hearing aids, service dogs, and wheelchairs of their own. So encouraging to see how individuals can really change the world and help others in the community. #ucchangestheworld
Families often get their drinking water directly from muddy ponds where livestock also feed and bathe themselves. @VillageLifeOP works to change this and help those in Tanzania.

During the same film @livingonone I saw how hard it was for someone to get a loan from an actual bank. Instead, they either don’t get the money or they have someone in the community help them. Seeing how close the community is was neat. #ucchangestheworld.
For class we watched the film @livingonone and it was such an interesting film. One of the men got a parasite & the medicine was too expensive to buy. It is sad to see that an easy fix could not be afforded because of the little wage they were making. #ucchangestheworld
In class this week I learned more about the @PeaceCorps. A requirement to serve is to have a least 5 years of work experience or an undergraduate degree. 95% of volunteers have at least an undergraduate degree. I also learned ages of volunteers range from 20-86 #ucchangestheworld
This week in @weller_world ‘s class we watched a Ted Talk from @danpallotta. I found it’s very interesting that only 60 billion dollars goes to health and human services out of 300 billion dollars. The rest goes to religion, higher education, and hospitals. #ucchangestheworld
I loved hearing from Lindsey Barta & how she has grown to find her passion for nonprofits and supporting the youth. She spoke about @MagnifiedGiving and how the donors have gave 1 million dollars back into the community through the hands of students. #ucchangestheworld
I learned how important vision is to help you feel empowered and safe in the world! It is a need that gets reprioritized when people cannot afford it. In some countries there isn’t awareness that you can even get help for your vision. @OneSightOrg#ucchangestheworld
Tomorrow is the 27th anniversary of @GoBearcatsFB's 1993 Homecoming matchup against Memphis.
Fans at Nippert Stadium got a treat: An October snowstorm and a Bearcats game-winning field goal in the final minute.
