@hankgreen In Baltimore there is a neighborhood called Pigtown because they used to run pigs through it on their way to slaughter. When developers came they tried to rename it to “Washington Village”. Locals rolled their eyes, and it’s still called Pigtown.

@emilypearsonart Sure thing! Also you can try practicing on the freeway at night first, it’s usually pretty dead after 9 or 10. Or try driving the less busy way during rush hour (so like westbound on the 10 in the afternoon) for a few exits and then take boulevards back.

@emilypearsonart Also try driving on the weekends, it feels like it’s an all day light rush hour. And you can try practicing on some of the bigger boulevards like Normandy or Venice before graduating to the freeway.

@emilypearsonart Driving here had made me a much more aggressive driver because otherwise no one lets you in. So do everything with confidence, but also know that anyone could do something dumb at any moment. Definitely get a dash-cam.
