Whatever happens tomorrow, never forget that this doggedly positive and hopeful campaign—in every way a fight for basic dignity and joyful celebration of democratic pluralism—was relentlessly denounced by political and media elites as something sinister, dangerous, and violent.
This is one of the most difficult things to convey in my own work about the Muslim Ban. The illiberal breach, the descent into purely racial valuation of life, isn't even a breach and it isn't a contradiction. It is something made and managed and structured by liberals.
With Zohran, a Twelver Shia, facing Eric Adams, a Turkish proxy, I think we can consider the NYC mayoral race the final phase of the Ottoman-Safavid conflict
they will pass the Muslim Ban that they can get away with. they will deport the people they will get away with deporting. they will terrorize us as much as they are able to. okay. what are we going to do about it.
They have made no obvious attempt to understand the nature of these errors or to update their methodology. At least for the time being, given that they've repeatedly attempted to conceal mistakes without admitting the mistakes, it is clear as day that the $55B is fraudulent.
I take it back the analogy for all this isn't post-soviet shock therapy. The parallel is the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq. This is colonial governance in the metropole. Good morning everyone a 22 year old from the Heritage Foundation just disbanded the army.
Conservatives fear universal programs because once they’re there, it’s very hard to get rid of them. Unfortunately, the same is true for any gross violation of civil liberties. You won’t get any administration to willingly relinquish it, and its purview will always expand
“It’s had a chilling effect on the community,” said Antonio De Loera-Brust, a spokesman for the UFW. “There’s a lot of fear and anxiety for everyone with an undocumented loved one, which is a significant portion of the Latino community in Kern County.”

There is one remaining professor of history in Gaza. Everyone else has been murdered, has had to flee, was kidnapped or missing and presumed dead. I thought about him all day yesterday. I just told him the news on the AHA vote. He was pleased. He sends his greetings to the 428.
The White Helmets has deployed 5 specialized emergency teams to Sednaya Prison to investigate hidden underground cells, reportedly holding detainees according to survivors. The teams consist of search and rescue units, wall-breaching specialists, iron door-opening crews, trained dog units, and medical responders. These teams are well trained and equipped to manage such complex operations.
2 teams arrived about an hour ago and have already begun their mission, accompanied by a guide familiar with the prison's layout. The remaining teams are expected to arrive gradually, delayed by challenging security conditions on the roads and severe traffic congestion.

The Syrian mothers have suffered so much in the last 13 years… their children have been exiled. So much tears from mothers growing old alone, or dying alone. This man is now able to see his beloved mother but many will return to empty homes ❤️
Yeah, there’s something a little inhuman about the response to the United CEO’s murder.
People get a little inhuman when they’re profoundly, systematically dehumanized.
Anyway, thinking again & always about what our healthcare system stole from my family.https://t.co/q9RK7sLMXa
I don't know why the US ambassador to Qatar is posting on linkedin about the promotion ceremony for the Marine security guards he conducted in the embassy swimming pool but he is.
