@vwillisKSU19 I love this method! Unfortunately, I've never seen it done before, but I think it would be really effective. Students would be encouraged to learn new words all the time! I would love to implement this in my future classroom as a way of earning extra points.
@AuburnEastall I, too, thought this was an interesting point. Sometimes it is hard to find worthwhile tasks and activities that encompass a wide range of standards and learning objectives. I think coding apps definitely achieve that. How would you introduce them to students?
@gabyhendrix7 I think teaching resiliency is easily overlooked these days! My MT and myself are trying to do the same for our 5th graders. Teaching them to be independent is another focus point of our class. What are some strategies you use in class?
@brittney_porche Hi Britt(:
I agree; my CT uses these strategies as well, and the students seem to have a much better understanding of the story after reading. I tried this with them the other day, and I noticed significant improvement!
@AuburnEastall Hi Auburn! I also thought that this portion of the text was interesting. Showing students the importance of literacy will help them to understand why it is good to practice. What ways could you do this for a math lesson?
