@D_J_Ellison@billburr@geminidream0610 We don't even like it. Nat'l media thinks they won't be called biased if our reporters just hate the team.
Others get homers or (esp OTT/EDM) psychos writing about the Leafs (rants so deranged they'd net restraining orders if about a person) more than the team they're paid to.
@MatthewKolakow8@JeffVeillette Fellas is it soy to not want to spend your 50th birthday in a nursing home receiving 24/7 dementia care? Are you a limp-wristed fancy lad if you'd rather not be in a grave far from where the rest of your family is buried after you annihilated them in a fit of uncontrollable rage?
@ScoutingTheRefs Your paraphrase here is made up and irresponsible: "Head contact may be permitted if unavoidable ๐ค๐ง if player's body position contributed to the contact" [emphasis mine]
THERE IS NO "OR". The 1st sentence of the actual rule is unambiguous: If it's avoidable it's not permitted.
@jtbourne 100%
Along with collapsing to the slot & letting Leafs move the puck around the outside with no pressure, it's stuff that clogs key areas while forcing their own to stay passive (lest they risk being individually beat) that's given this core issues from day 1, even by bad teams.
@stephen_burtch@googlenews The Tories like to invent a bunch of ministries out of thin air in order to make sure they all get much higher minister salaries while saying they've put a freeze on MPP pay, so it's probably that
@clrkaitken It's driving me insane.
Past years: Suck it up Leafyboy, the Atlantic's really not that tough
Now: Don't you dare say the Bruins failed. WE failed them. Not giving them a bye straight to the Final was inexcusable, and we'll have to live with that fact for the rest of our lives.
@DocNaeco@ethanslol@juanskico@domluszczyszyn@2997_mcdrai Goals are goals. Scoring earlier doesn't make them worth more.
If you score at 5:00 then get scored on at 35:00 and 55:00, you lead for 30min.
If you swap the 5:00 and 35:00 goals, you never lead.
Both are equally bad 2-1 losses. You don't get brownie points for the first one.
@DocNaeco@ethanslol@juanskico@domluszczyszyn@2997_mcdrai Imagine a series between teams X and Y, equal except:
-X always comes out fast, scoring lots in the 1st before fading
-Y always starts slow but never tires and dominates the 3rd
X will spend WAY more time in the lead but it doesn't mean they're better. It's not that meaningful.
@ProducerDrew_ @Yash34834255 I'm for 1-8 but reseeding is dumb.
Dismissing Florida is also dumb, but it's even dumber to think Carolina should be upset about playing NJ. Even with reseeding they'd have expected to play NJ, so it's ridiculous to cry about it just because an unrelated series went differently.
@AnthonyJustin88 @tmessall@ProducerDrew_ lol @ "they always reseed" like it's a set-in-stone rule the NHL keeps going back to, not just how it was the ONE brief time they did it.
It'd be weird if they did it a bunch of different ways in that single 5 year stretch. It definitely doesn't mean 1-8 will always be reseeded.
