I hope it's obvious that I'm not implying the onus of environmental destruction falls on the consumers, but we cannot dismantle the systems responsible overnight, and in the meantime we must be careful to choose products and services that are conscious of the bigger picture.

at one studio I was offered [an amount] to return. then they told me "sorry!" only have enough in the budget for somewhere between my old salary and the "offer". I later found out the guy doing the same job as me was being paid [the amount they offered me originally]. 🙃

In grad school i worked as a qc editor for a big marketing company. I asked my boss's boss why I was being paid less than male coworkers who were "under" me, so they gave me a tiny raise. A couple months later, they told me the raise was an "accounting error" and took it away
