During Number Corner today my students learned that โvertexโ is another word for corner. So one of my students announced, โso right now weโre at โNumber Vertexโ?โ @MLCmath
My first graders created abstract art. They were given construction paper & a glue stick. No scissors allowed. They were told to make an animal. Now, their master pieces are displayed in the hallway along with post-itโs to guess the animal. My favorite thing to walk by! ๐
โMs. Laiter, come look!! I made you something!โ
Just some innocent graffiti on the school building ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
At least my name is spelt wrong so no one will know itโs me ๐
The most precious thing happened today (twice) - I did a scavenger hunt in small groups & when it got to this slide a student said, โI donโt have to go anywhere *childโs name* is right hereโ - talking about their friends on the meet. This same thing happened in 2 groups.
Keeping students accountable the last couple weeks of school. I have been assigning this checklist on @Seesaw, daily. Itโs nothing too pretty to look at, but it has been working thus far ๐ค๐ผ ๐
The more good we see in others, the easier it is to find it in ourselves. Educators can focus on finding the good & building pple. up. When we give or are given feedback, itโs important to highlight the positive. We build from strengths as well as from setbacks. #CelebrateMonday
