@ThomasDekeyser It really does feel impossible – sorry to hear you feel similarly.
I had hopes of applying for funds for another postdoc as an alternative path forward but now even that seems out of reach, not so much because of funding opportunities but lack of institutional support.
@waynejpan I’m working on a lot of different things at the moment so just need something to help me keep track of everything. There are so many options though, it’s kinda overwhelming 🤪
@skylinermcr @scotinoz Such an interesting observation! There’s some recent work being done on BLM murals in the US but I haven’t read any yet.
I think generally this is a new-ish (and important!) area of street art research. If I come across any relevant work on this, I’ll let you know!
@skylinermcr That’s an excellent question – your article is very interesting! Most street art research is concerned with place but I think what you’re asking is more about affect (+ how art might make people feel). If so, I think @scotinoz’s wonderful work would be a great place to start.
@bennosaurus Yes of course, that makes sense! I’m finding the Norwegian metrics-based recruitment really biased towards certain types of academics and research. And yet also very unevenly applied despite being “transparent”.
