DROP THE DULLY: SAMMY GYAMFI DID NO WRONG BY ETHICS OR LAW

I have keenly observed developments after Sammy Gyamfi, by his own will, gifted “some money” to Agradaa.

The reactions — that have since followed the kind gesture, which was recorded unknowingly at the blindsight of Sammy Gyamfi — has, for lack of commensurating words been exaggerated and miscontrued.

Great news is that, though there was nothing morally or ethically wrong with the said act, Sammy Gyamfi, for the good of the Mahama Government and out of respect to Ghanaians, has rendered an unqualified apology.

That should have settled the matter!! Not so? But we see you — the party bigwigs fuelling the issue because you drool the CEOship of the GoldBod. That’s fine!

We also see those of you — the party juggernauts — who are going whimper to crucify him. We will meet at the other side of the balcony where chills become pills.

In all the bellows that I’ve come across, no one is mentioning a single law or clause that is broken: be it the GoldBod Act, the Code of Conducts by the President, the Constitution or any other such law that exist in Ghana.

Does it suffice to say it is the sheer animosity and the jaundiced vituperation some of you has harbored for years against the persona of the Good Man that has come of age to billow?

Darken the camera for an ephemeral...

1. When did it become an egregious taboo to give money to people at public functions?

Do you big men, seeking the GoldBod job, not do same? And you “faction supporter,” is your big man not complicit of this too?

Well, a hunter is the man whose meat is on fire!

2. What sacrilegious crime does any public officer commit when money is gifted to another? Is the current hooey a novelty?

Is your problem the video recording or the person to whom the money was given? Can you be clear with your stand and same be elaborated?

The last I checked, SAMMY GYAMFI ESQ. is squeaky clean and nothing frail of this kind can besmirch his hard-earned reputation.

I will not talk of how valuable he has been to the NDC and the mechanisms he consciously put in place to revolutionalise the Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) including the media gang up by the NPP to cower him into solitude.

Crime is crime! I acknowledge, but for simple mistake, the vengeful uproar of anger that meted the issue talks more of an old wine in new glass.

It is reprehensible and unwarranted. I shudder to think what would have happened had he done something scandalous.

Sammy Gyamfi is not a move over nor a bashful young man. Get that! Yes, I condemn the video recording but not the act. There was nothing wrong, criminal, unethical, humiliating, nor repulsive.

Infact, I am struggling to find an iota of anything aa such. Activate the law, if any, and stop the disparage!!

You, NDC supporter, keep this in mind: the chick that is destined to become a cockerel will not be catch by hawk.

As for the NPP, we are leaving you to your conscience. Far be it that I justify. But if there was any scandal as fragile and baseless as this that encompassed your erstwhile regime, we would have sung ALLELUIA to the Lord.

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” — Martin Luther King Jr.

Dear Sammy Gyamfi, pen them down, don’t pin it. Now you know your “well wishers” and “doom seekers”.

“By lips, they wish you crown, by rip, it was cross in their heart.” — MPK
