@Morrisons why can you manage to send every possible marketing email to me without any problem, but you are utterly incapable of sending me a password reset link to the very same email address? Several attempts now. It's getting ridiculous.
@HooklandGuide Ah, the Blinking Owl. I never visited the café, but I recall it's eyes flashing at the side of a treacherous staggered junction. Could this be the very same, I wonder?
@danwootton The BBC also completely ignored the 500,000+ people marching through London yesterday. Nothing to do with camp stage performance of dreadful songs and everything to do with the killing of thousands in Palestine.
@MichaelRosenYes Hip to waist ratio is considered a better measure of fat distribution. BMI would put a lot of solid sportsmen and women into the "obese" bracket.
@DreyfusJames Easter Day is a Sunday. Schools are shut. Nobody needs to be having services or parades or whatever at school. Load of nonsense. Still, distracts everyone from the real-world problems I s'pose.
@JoolzDenby I need to catch up with this. Your comments are expressing the same horror as others I've read today. My sister and I both work in schools, at opposite ends of the age range. We have both seen things that really shouldn't happen in school. Or anywhere else for that matter!😶
@JoolzDenby Sad news.
I saw the band once and loved them. I like seeing musicians who are genuinely having a whale of a time on stage. And I'm almost certain that Newcastle Brown ale used to be the only drink at Leeds University bar. Well, that's my recollection of it in the 80s.
@JasonWilsonFL @JoolzDenby The effects of measles, mumps and rubella on unborn children and be devastating. Unvaccinated children of pregnant mothers pose a huge risk to their entire family. It's insane not to vaccinated kids!
@YorkshireBook48 Dr Seuss"s Sleep Book was a favourite with my 3 girls (along with Mog, Hairy McClary, and Winnie the Pooh and others) Daughter #3 would finish the rhyming lines as soon as she could talk🙂
@SubRosaMagick Still have the tin with coins and a piece of coal in that someone brought to my father's house at the start of 1969. I was born later that year and the tin has travelled with me to my own house and lives in my dresser. There was bread in there too but that didn't keep so well!!
I'm staying here for now.
If you think your followers may like photos I've created that can dial down stress levels & even lift mood by just looking at them,then maybe give this a RT?
I post my photos most days,along with simple neuroscience-based tips on improving mental health.
@JoolzDenby I wondered the other day if I had reached "that age" where I start thinking world has gone mad. But I haven't. It's barking! Mother's of sons have a tough job today. They need our support, not hate🤦
@JoolzDenby It's horribly interesting! I studied microbiology, but only really learnt about the effect of syphilis on society from my later interest in genealogy. The words "general paralysis of the insane" as a cause of death got me puzzled, until I read the hideous truth!
