@Philippa_Perry@Rosy_roo_roo Calmness and reassurance helps - that he is good enough & has talents & qualities utterly beyond what todays academia recognises as ‘success’ - totally agree with other comments here about school not being fit for purpose and destroying young people’s self belief & confidence.
@Philippa_Perry@Rosy_roo_roo Yep, son’s established friendships was shredded & it’s taken this long to get them again - just in time for GCSEs when all he wants to do is hang out with his friends. I see him revising quotes from Macbeth on our drive in pre-exam and think what relevance is this to his future?
@hattierocket We use Microsoft Teams chat - approved by our IT security & invaluable to communicate in real time. It gives our team a sense of what’s going on so we can adapt/change visits to help colleagues if they get held up. Urgent visits can be picked up by who is closest/has capacity.
Hey Twitter peeps :) My daughter is doing some research on Gardening for Wildlife for her Environmental Science project at College - if you have 5/10 minutes it'd be a great help if you could please fill in her online survey at: https://t.co/fRUd2TjFoY
@WeDistrictNurse@hattierocket I recall seeing a discussion about Community Nursing dependency models recently but can’t find it now - pls can you point me towards it or any models in use as my Trust are reviewing how best to calculate dependencies? Thanks 😊🙏 #communitynursing
@NurseStandard I’m 5’2” so always found scrubs trousers way too long in the body and leg. Now I’m a Community Nurse and love my dresses, they make me feel smart and proud to be a nurse. We need something that looks respectable and fitting for our profession.
Had my first Covid vaccine today along with other @CornwallFT Community Nursing colleagues - thanks to Narrowcliff surgery for helping to keep our patients safe 💙
An mRNA vaccine doesn't actually contain the virus itself. Think of it as an email sent to your immune system that shows what the virus looks like, instructions to kill it, and then—like a Snapchat message—it disappears. Amazing technology.
Oh look... IMMUNITY IS A THING, at least for 6 months or so. Funny that, I mean who knew?! For immediate release from @OUHospitals & University of Oxford. Bloody well done.
#NursesActive day 30 - an hour of board paddling in rolling seas this morning but no images/ tracking to show for it 🙄 so I’ll have to make do with the evening doggie walk 🐕
@churchillkt@WeDistrictNurse I’m in a rural area and changed to a good old Ford Fiesta - get the eco boost and it’s really economical to run and get one with sat nav - it’s a good hands free set up as mentioned above. Also spares are cheap!
Ps this is not a ‘gotcha’ moment where we take pleasure in catching Matt Hancock out for being incompetent.
We are genuinely frightened that he knows so little about how the NHS actually works at a time when vaccinations are so imperative.
This is an $807.96 charge for insulin.
The NHS might not be perfect, but it won’t charge you hundreds of pounds for vital medicine to keep you alive.
Please RT if you won’t take it for granted.
