i don’t know if you guys have noticed this, but if you have christians in your family, most likely so, but there’s an epidemic of ai gospel songs and “singers” taking over grannies and aunties on whatsapp family groupchat BY STORM
i feel like this is a good exercise on the male gaze bc i am a lesbian and this was everything but attractive to me, which, being a woman i presume, part of her target demographic? it didnt make me want to buy the lingeries, quite the opposite 😬
@AkbarGhalta you must live in the 6th century bc to think you need to speak the language of a singer to appreciate their artistry. there’s this great tool called google translate and genius dot com you know? and regarding wishing ill upon her it’s just misanthropic and uncouth.
@Iloveorionmeg99 não tolerarei hate em cima do menino assad alguém acione a deputada erika hilton pois farei uma denúncia mds gente mais mesquinha nunca vi
@marywhalls@Brother_Martell not being from the us (hence the sound maybe being a bit foreign to american consumers) is, analogously, the only thing destin and tyla have in common. south africa isn’t even an island lol.
@marywhalls@Brother_Martell it’s the same logic behind lumping all black american artists in the “urban contemporary” or “hip hop” or “r&b” categories when being black is the only thing they have in common. destin is doing dancehall (jamaica) and tyla is doing pop-amapiano (south africa)
@marywhalls Tyla is South African pop artist, this song features Jamaicans and a Jamaican dancehall beat, so the idea of saying a south African girl that doesn't even make this kind of music should hop on this is actually ridiculous and stupid
