It's tempting to wish away the hard, less-romantic parts of building a business. But those stretches are the actual experience of building something meaningful.

Re-reading Letters From a Self-Made Merchant To His Son, a collection of fictional letters packed with timely one-liners and that quote that stuck out.

75 days out from @MainStSummit (and @CapitalCamp happening at the same time!).

I'm excited for many reasons, but especially for the unexpected conversations that happen naturally, likely in The Atrium, walking between Sessions, or on a morning run.

Perfect example: I've been following Jeff at @ugmonk for over 10 years. I love his design approach and obsession with quality and simplicity.

Last year, @chriswandrew from de la bou wines and I were chatting in The Atrium when he casually mentioned growing up with Jeff.

He made a quick connection and now Jeff's joining us this year to discuss manufacturing with design integrity and scaling with intentional craftsmanship.

One off-hand comment turned into a learning opportunity for all of us!

And oh yes...we're bringing Ugmonk's Analog system to The General Store, plus setting aside some exclusive pieces as speaker gifts.
