@wine_x13 And her name is MAKAYLA btw. You quote "say her name" but don't even add her name. I hope she's found peace now. Truly disgusting and awful world we live in.
The Brave Little Toaster (1987) quietly tackles themes most family films avoid, aging, and the fear of becoming obsolete. It was adapted from the novella by Thomas M. Disch, and a number of future Pixar creatives worked on it early in their careers.
@Zoya_ki_batein I was having a weird reaction to an IUD I got. It was put in by a mid wife. I asked them to remove it bc it was causing pain. The Dr of the clinic of course male was the one to remove it. After her did, he tossed it into the trash as he said "what a waste."
We have become too articulate about our suffering & too inarticulate about our strength. The more elegantly we describe our wounds, the harder it becomes to leave them behind. When a struggle becomes part of your identity, overcoming it feels like a betrayal of who you are.
For thousands of years, babies slept with their mothers. When they cried, they were attended to. Then two men came along: Dr. Holt and John B. Watson. They said babies should be trained. That babies had to fit the assembly line schedules of their parents. "Newborns must cry to expand their lungs," they claimed. "Simply let them cry it out." And that's how the "cry it out" sleep training method was born. Watson treated babies like experiments. "Never hug or kiss your child," he wrote. "Shake hands with them in the morning." After all, mothers needed rest, to attend to their husbands and households. Watson had four children. Three attempted suicide. One succeeded. And we still follow it today. Because once you convince a mother to ignore her baby's cries, you've broken something primal.
@QueenMab87 Idk if she's a good person or not but she's at least had this look since she was in the new (2022) Hellraiser movie. It's no where near a new look to her
