Ecologist and horticulturist; love a bit of GIS. Knitter, kayaker, hiker, birder, tea drinker, though not at the same time. Pro-Europe and proud. Views mine!
@PlanningShit Take a look at the CC planning portal to see the awful ribbon development along the A390. I have better hopes for CC's own development up at Tregavethan which has some interesting ideas but as the council is Β£75m in debt I expect it will suffer some *cough* value engineering.
@PlanningShit I didn't even have to look closely at this to know it was either the Copperfields (π€’) development or the abomination that is King Charles' latest offering at Nansledan. I drive past this concrete arsehole several times a week and it pains me every time.
@RoyalMailHelp my parcel from Oz is at Langley customs and tracking now says it's being prepared for re-export in order to return it to sender. Nobody has contacted me to say there's a problem - can you find out what's going on? I can DM the tracking number. Thanks!
@GWRHelp am travelling from Birmingham to Truro this evening. Train Line and GWR website say part of journey is cancelled but all trains seem to be running. Supposed to be on 17:12 from Bham. Can you shed any light? Thanks :)
Exhaust snapped in two, 40 scouts got on my bus, I failed to win Cornish bingo but at least I now know that a hamster is "hamster" in Cornish. Meur ras @Kernow_King, all the filmmakers and @VerdantBrew for a cracking night. Kernow bys vyken!
@TudorAcid @FastGhostMusic @citizenhelene @thesvelteone Zomg! I was reminded of this only recently while watching something about boats crossing the GMT line - remember the red laser across the river??
@kesp Late to the party but spanakopita. Look up Dmitra's Dinners on the youtubes. Hardly any time to prep and cook, tastes absolutely amazing (80g of butter always helps). Serve with Greek style salad. Has been a winner both times I've made it.
@BrianE_Cambs@EzrasEcology @BradleyNealEnv What Brian said! It's rather weighty for a field guide and some of the photos could do with an intermediate shot (in terms of size, I mean) for field ID purposes but it's an absolute gem of a book and worth every penny.
@chrisbisso @caballosblancos @graemelyons From a botanical point of view, when doing plant labels I followed the same rules as the writer below. Birds seem to follow different rules for some reason! https://t.co/kBZvA5hkjf
@DrSueMoss Ah, you can't beat it. I'm cycling from Bath to Bradford on Avon along the tow path today and all my stresses and strains have disappeared. Well, for now at least π
@mikosoft They keep going on about how difficult it is to get the delicate items over the feet. Maybe it's just voiceover hyperbole and the curators aren't that bothered in reality.
@kikmol You're not thick at all. You referred to pesticides, which is right. I'm really pleased that you care. And my apologies: I didn't mean to include you in my reply! I haven't quite got the hang of this twitter lark π
New favourite place: Loe pool and beach. Far from the madding crowds because you can't drive there, and what a treat. Plus so much sea holly, restharrow and Honkenya!
Forgot to add that there were many great crested grebes (which always reminds me of one of the teachers at St Custardβs) and fledgling reed warblers begging in the hedges.
