Londoner (Tooting/SW17) & FMCG/Retail comms (on mat leave). Tweets about all things local, food, travel & work. You know the drill - all views & tweets my own.
@O2 My question though is how you these charges in general can still be justified - reputationally with this one it’s an issue for @DisneyParis_EN@DLPHelp and their approach to customer service and bookings but I still don’t understand why @o2 is charging 65p a minute off it.
@O2 There was a generic disclaimer at start of the call from @DLPHelp that a provider may charge access. But I have no idea how you can justify charging 65p a minute. What for? I had no other choice than to make the call and wait as long as I had to. Poor form on both sides.
There is so much to feel down about but I booked my booster last night, I’ve had it this morning already at my local @PearlChemist in Tooting - well organised & the volunteers were great.
Reality of parental burnout - spot from my talented neighbour @SaimaMir - I’m lucky with childcare & family nearby yet the feeling of burnout is very real - angry for those families who on top of that have been abandoned since covid & can’t get support https://t.co/6NvsunivYx
An uplifting interview and an impressive and inspiring story. Comes across as authentic and likeable. We need more people like this in politics - although fortunate we also have one of those here in Tooting in @DrRosena
Love this piece so much for lots of reasons. Just triggered an incredible chat with other mum pals about all our wonderful memories of watching TV as a child. Saturday morning and early evening TV in the 90s has never been beaten
Sad news about Gap - I worked there throughout my time at Uni and have very fond memories of the brand and peoples. A real a shame it got to this point. Thinking of those whose jobs are impacted.

Public service announcement for all my #Tooting pals - went to @ChoyGreen - the new Korean in @TootingMarket today and it was delicious! Plus plenty of seating too, fab service and a great lunch deal!
@bmbm The whole system is in need of huge reform. Parents are crippled by the cost, yet at the same time the early years professionals who play such an important part in caring for and teaching our little ones, are not paid enough or supported in the way teachers are
As with Mother’s Day, now receiving lots of ‘do you want to opt out of #fathersday emails. I get the intent is gd but the email itself is surely still a trigger and the smarter thing if you really care and are worried is just not to send any marketing around it.
Thanks for engaging - didn’t mean to tag you as not expecting a reply or to add to your Saturday morning workload :) - just expressing my grumpy opinion on ad formats.
I’m supportive of #advertising and media owners and brands need to be innovative but I HATE this ‘answer the question about our brand or else’ format. I don’t want to be forced to engage with an ad. And frankly I don’t care how @LNER are keeping their business travellers safe.
