It feeds the narrative that disabled people and those with long-term health conditions are the problem, rather than inadequate systems of support.

We need to do better than this.

Once again, if we want to sort out ambulance delays then we have to sort out the solutions that keep people out of hospital, get people out of hospital and keep people from returning to hospital. The evidence is everywhere! #RightToRehab

Rehab is a right. We need to stop saying that there is ‘no more rehab potential’. Our language matters. Our language creates our reality. We need to ask the patient what’s needed for them, what matters for them. @VMulvanaTuohy #HNYrehab
