Do not normalize him. Heโs the only President in American history who lost an election and refused to concede or participate in the peaceful transfer of power. He then tried to overthrow the election.
That happened in THIS country. HE did that. Do not ever normalize him. Never.
Hey @benandjerrys - any chance of getting a vegan candy cane peppermint option for the holidays this year? It was one of my favorite flavors before I stopped eating dairy.
@antfrrrr @nikovus @dannygonzalez You can comment everywhere except on the community post. I understand that your impression is he's being disingenuous, but 1) I disagree, 2) you can comment so many other places, and 3) he doesn't even need to apologize because Starbucks is not on the boycott list anyway.
@antfrrrr @nikovus @dannygonzalez I think the most likely explanation here is he didn't want that comment section to turn into an Israel/Palestine debate zone. Also...Starbucks isn't even on the official BDS boycott list. So it's a moot point.
Hey @Target are you phasing out selling tampons with cardboard applicators or no applicators? I don't want to throw out 40 plastic applicators a month because all you have is Tampax Pearl.
@TheAtlantic@RabbiWolpe With the rise of Christian Nationalism, anti-semitism, & Islamophobia, why has @TheAtlantic printed an editorial that maligns & perpetuates misinformation about Paganism - a collective of minority religions with many modern-day practitioners? #BoycottTheAtlantic#EndReligiousHate
Hey @TheAtlantic - it is not a good look to malign a minority religion/spirituality, even in an editorial. Pagans are modern, real, and should not be reduced to this derogatory depiction.
I hardly ever post on here anymore, but sometimes life is hard and you just need to say that to the void. But not on Facebook because there are too many relatives on there.
@hankgreen There are scientists working on better solutions! It's just tricky! My brother works in medicinal chemistry and he's been working on cancer drugs for over a decade. He has slept on his lab stool countless times. People are working on it! โค๏ธ
Me: I gotta go to bed early tonight, I gotta get up at 5 to go sing for a bunch of hours in full costume
Also me: Up at 11:30pm and still needing to shower before bed
In the last year and a half, I have spent hundreds of hours with my madrigal singing group, and I still look forward to more time with them. Adult friendships that started as adults are surprisingly incredible.
I think Fest is probably like giving birth.
In the moment: God it's hot, it's dusty, my voice sounds like shit
Two days later: That was the most fun I've ever had. I should do this full time.
Hills at Renaissance Festivals are a killer. Felt validated getting to the top breathing heavy in a corset hoop and gown, then turning around and seeing a guy in a shirt and vest puffing and going, "Damn, I gotta get in shape."
When you feel a sore throat/vocal fatigue less than 48 hours before a 3-day singing retreat:
- thyme, apples, pineapple, honey, lemon, and 15 herbal oral anesthetic drops
Feeling better this evening thankfully!
