Year 5 Gandhi class had a great lesson creating crazy catapults. This was part of their science lesson on exploring mechanisms.
To test the designs we then had a catapult “off” and some of the children scored amazingly well!
Good BOOKS in search of a good home!📚
I’m organising my shelves and would love to donate these to a PRIMARY school.

I’ll pick a winner at random and post to you 😊🚗❤️🤞🍀
Yr5 had their Science Spectacular yesterday. This is a special lesson each term where they get to experiment & use equipment from the KS3 lab. Pupils helped Santa out in his Fizzy Elves Academy. They mixed bicarbonate of soda, vinegar & food colouring to create a fizzy concoction
Y5 had great fun using cross-curricular maths skills to make parachutes. They had to measure accurately & investigate if the surface area of the parachute would impact the length of time it took for the parachute to hit the ground. The children worked incredibly well together.
The bank holiday weekend may be over, but the 'Platy Jubes' celebrations continue across @BedsSchTrust!

Evie in Yr 6 became the class expert when discussing evolution of horses today in science. Evie shared her passion of horses & pictures of her horse Lucky. The class discovered the first known species of horse were called Hyracotherium and were only 0.4m tall & had a 4 toed hoof!
