Why are people fighting for kids to stay addicted and glued to screens - very weird…..
Most of us millennials didn’t grow up on screens and our childhood was amazing.
“This is about what is the role of the pound sterling in the future digital economy.” @kmgrose, UK CEO @coinbase.
Is the UK about to lose its advantage in the global stablecoin race?
That was the question posed by @dsem221, @sxswlndn, in conversation with @kmgrose, Emma Mayer (@BVNKFinance) and @StaniKulechov (@aave), on the convergence of traditional finance, stablecoins, and digital financial infrastructure.
For Keith, the debate goes beyond stablecoins. As the UK finalises its regulatory framework, the decisions made today could shape the future of payments, digital finance, and financial infrastructure for years to come.
“Stablecoins are going to become a thing, and we need to get a strategy around it.”
Coincidence? We think not!
That was @kmgrose, UK CEO of @coinbase, on stage at @sxsw London alongside TWIF COO @dsem221 discussing the growing role of stablecoins in payments.
And today, Coinbase announced a partnership with @Checkout that will bring stablecoin acceptance to eligible merchants across its network of more than 1,000 enterprise customers.
For an industry that has spent the past year talking about stablecoin adoption, this is what it looks like in practice.
Another step towards stablecoins becoming part of mainstream payments and financial infrastructure.
If the number of young people who are out of work has not significantly decreased within the next year, then Bridget Phillipson the UK's Secretary of State for Education, The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Pat McFadden and Dame Diana Johnson DBE, UK's Minister of State for Employment should all be sacked, post giving a speech on why they failed
We need to hold our MPs to account - they shouldn’t get to hold a post and delivery sweet eff all!!
Anyone else in any line of work would receive warnings, PIPs then dismissal.
These rappers coming under fire for moving product is just a big indicator that music never really paid...
I just wish the UK music scene of 2016 - 2018 understood the power of personal branding a lot better as we wouldn't be seeing these desperate moves being played out today
Be careful letting Claude access your machine. I’m pretty sure I got hacked straight away because as soon as I downloaded it, I noticed all these random accounts viewing my OneDrive files!
Be cautious! I had to delete with SPEED!
I’m the kind of customer who will reach out using whatever communication channel I can see. But the moment you ask me to send more information on another channel, or try to move me to another channel where I now have to do extra work, you lose me.
This is where a lot of small businesses go wrong. Every entry point should be able to convert a customer, whether it starts as a DM, a call, or an email.
Convert where the customer is. We convert every time.
The interview started off with Simon Jordan agreeing with Eni Aluko’s point on the women’s game. It went left when he made his opinion clear on her as a pundit … but he agreed with her stance on women’s football. If you’re black and joining the pile on I would recommend you watch the whole interview so your comments are from a fairer place of being informed on the context of the entire conversation. We owe that to any black person being scrutinised or abused in the media you don’t need to like or agree with them but she’s getting a lot of hate on her looks and skin colour over an opinion she gave in the women’s game. She has apologised for the Ian Wright comments she doesn’t need to be forgiven to be given a bit of grace.
Black people jumping on the ‘She was a DEI hire’ viewpoint is disgraceful imo. Black non African women taking advantage of this to join the mob is also disgusting. Let’s do better this isn’t about taking her side but someone is very foul in the backlash she is getting and I don’t like it. A lot of women in presenting attacking her are going to benefit from her speaking up because the bosses won’t want her to seem right so will take the hits they agree with and make some tweaks. Fact remains she was the first black female football pundit after achieving a lot on the game and she does have a right to an opinion. A lot of people have taken a few clips and used that to misinterpret her overall viewpoint.
My manager was complaining about how unprofessional this new generation is with resigning jobs. He said his last employee quit by sending a message that said “it’s giving shackled. I quit” lmfao😂
