Look at a map of the USA. Mostly Forest and farmland.

When you back the currency with labor, its value comes out of agriculture and industry. It's a no- brainer for the United States.

Banks used to buy shovels and tents for gold miners. It's a paltry investment for the value those prospectors brought the bank.

Under Agricultural Nationalism, the banks will finance tractors, combines, wood chippers and chainsaws. Every tree planted, every millimeter of soil built strengthens the dollar.

Continue with tariffs to build manufacturing. Invest heavily in machines that build/cultivate soil and process raw materials into products.

Go all in on pastoral agroforestry. Innovate all kinds of wood products and sell them across the world.

Impose bans on plastic waste on Africa and Asia so they are forced to buy our products.

The USA exports it's culture. Heavily advertise natural clothing fashion to the rest of the world. Get them buying our cotton, linen, wool, and fur.

The dollar will always be valuable because it can buy things people need.

No. Consumers didn't wake up one day and decide they didn't want a 2 seater pickup that got 25 mpg and told Ford marketing surveys they want massive trucks that feel like your driving a boeing 737. Those trucks were regulated out of existence by accellerated CAFE standardsd under democrats who literally wanted to regulate the ICE out of the market.

This was compounded by the fact that these larger more expensive products are only accessible via financing which has made lenders unfathomably wealthy and contributed to the over financialization of the American economy.

There’s this idea popular among modern secular liberals (although it isn’t new, it’s really just another gnostic heresy)—that somewhere, there is a cosmic reservoir of souls, and these souls are dropped at random into mortal bodies at birth.

Lucky draw: you get comfort, safety, prosperity.

Unlucky draw: you get poverty, danger, oppression.

Of course, this isn’t true. You could only possibly exist as you do today due to the biological and spiritual realities particular to your time and place.

The idea that your soul is some free-floating thing that might have been “assigned” to a different body by some accident or another is really indistinguishable from the logic of the trans activist (“boy soul trapped in a girl body”). Your parents, the law you are raised under, your natural environment, and ultimately, the sovereignty of God, these are all real and interconnected and inform the resulting creature.

In the Christian tradition, we believe souls and body are created as a unity. And we believe in a bodily and material resurrection. Your body / soul combination isn’t “lucky,” it simply is the only way it could have been.

If you were born in India, you wouldn’t be you. It would be a different body and soul.

The fiction of the well of souls, the unlucky many against the lucky few, is almost always weaponized against us. It’s meant to manufacture “white guilt,” to frame Western existence as a cosmic accident that obligates perpetual self-condemnation. But that argument only works if you accept the premise that you could have been someone else. You couldn’t. God created you as a particular person, in a particular lineage, in a particular time, for a particular purpose.

Holidays are becoming more and more important to me as I age and get to see the fam less. On a more positive note, every year the number of happy Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc texts I receive from satisfied clients is increasing so love that.

A history teacher once told me the Pilgrims invented Thanksgiving.

I asked her about George Washington's 1789 proclamation.

She had no idea what I was talking about.

October 3, 1789.

The Constitution is barely ratified. Congress asks the President to declare a national day of thanks.

Washington doesn't suggest it. He commands it.

"It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for His benefits."

Duty. Not option.

He called Americans to "sincere and humble thanks" for winning the Revolution. For the Constitution. For religious liberty.

Then he told them to pray.

To "beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions."

The Father of our Country. Publicly confessing national sin. Calling a nation to its knees.

The Pilgrims weren't even mentioned.

That story came later. Sanitized. Secularized. Safe for public schools.

The real first Thanksgiving was a President declaring that gratitude to God was the price of being American.
