Some people cannot lead themselves, they are constantly lost that they do not know which way to go. These are the easily-swayed, the mindless ones, those who are quick to be followers to those who show a sign that they know the way, even if it leads to destruction.
This is Rev. Fr. Bobbi Paschal.
He is the Parish Priest of Saint Stephen's Parish in Kushe Gugdu, Kagarko LGA in Kaduna State.
He was first abducted earlier today, & then murdered by terrorists the same day, 19 Nov.
There is an ongoing Christian Genocide in Nigeria, & my people are running out of families.
My advice to you is to keep posting those receipts. Don’t allow anyone to gaslight you 💔
For a small Belgian guy from Braine-le-Comte playing for fun, being inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame with these greats of the game at 34 years old is crazy. Thank you to all of you; I will see you soon, my friends! 💙
Somtochukwu Maduagwu is trending because Sommie the 29yo Arise TV news anchor passed away yesterday after a robbery attack, police no-show and hospital reluctancy. — Two people died.
There are two stories around the incident.
Apparently, 15+ armed robbers attacked the luxurious mini estate in Katampe Abuja, and successfully robbed all the houses within.
When the robbery started, they called the nigerian police, they didn’t respond until every apartments in the estate had been robbed. — They came later..
An armed security guard, Barnabas, tried to take them, but they suppressed him, he got shot and lost a lot of blood.
While it’s still unclear the exact cause of Sommie’s death. Some are saying, she somehow fell off three storey building and landed unconscious and injured.
When police arrived they asked the police to take her to the clinic, police allegedly said they didn’t have fuel.
Somehow they successfully got her to a hospital, yet they refused to treat her, instead demanding an ID Card and other documents. Amidst the chaos, she died. Barnabas also died.
While it’s unclear whether she (Sommie) was shot or she fell off three stories. A constant in the story is, the police didn’t show up and the hospital refused to treat them.
Sommie whose mother is a British Citizen, choose returning to Nigeria to pursue a career in media and consultancy and empower youths in her way.
This December was supposed to be her wedding, just in time for her 30th birthday.
But fate said no.
Now old tweets from last month of Sommie praying for Nigeria not to happen to herself or anyone, are going viral, with Nigerians again, demanding an end to insecurity.
The ambience on Arise TV this morning has been described as, cold.
A witness and victim of the incident Sani Yusuf, said he was the first to be robbed and it was a traumatizing sight, but he’s not ready to talk about what happened, maybe until later.
However, folks in Abuja are confirming that the robbery has increased and at times, the robbers move in squad of 15-20+ men.
And they allegedly rob the University Of Abuja almost every week, despite the institution sandwiched between two Army Barracks within 5mins range.
Sommie was briefly in UK last month.. before returning to her unfortunate demise.
Nigerians are saying she’s another victim of a dysfunctional society, which she could have avoided.
This story will certainly be updated.

You have to feel for Marc Guehi, a footballer with principles in an industry not exactly overflowing with them. He’s a model pro. Crystal Palace have played 360 minutes this season and Guehi has played all but a minute of them. Even with all the talk of a transfer to Liverpool, Guehi trained and played, respecting his employers, his team-mates, Palace supporters and coaching staff. He focused hard, and carried on defending well; Palace conceded only three goals in those six games. Guehi even scored. He honoured his contract. He behaved impeccably.
Needing to strengthen their defence, Liverpool offered £35m, and Palace accepted as they would lose Guehi for nothing next year. But when they could not find a suitable replacement (and there can’t be many around to replace such a good defender) the deal fell through shortly before the window closed.
It’s possible to feel relief for Oliver Glasner, Palace’s alchemist of a head coach who keeps producing good teams despite losing good players, and also huge sympathy for Guehi. He played fair. He didn’t kick up a fuss which might have got the process moving earlier, giving Palace more time to find a replacement. He didn’t release sulphurous statements. He did that old-fashioned thing of getting on with his job. And missed out on joining the champions.
It’s a big miss for Liverpool who will be hoping Ibrahima Konate continues to regain form (and Liverpool could go back in for Guehi again in January). In Guehi, Liverpool would have been getting more than a strong, fast, elite-level centre-back who was England’s best player at last year’s Euros. They would have got a composed leader who could be a future captain.
Guehi exudes quiet authority, always has, even before Patrick Vieira made him captain after seeing his maturity and the way even senior players looked up to Guehi. He’s a role model off the field with his humility and commitment to Palace’s vital community work. Guehi’s religious, the son of a church minister and used to play the drums in his father’s church. He avoids social media. No ego.
Dedicated pro. Perhaps because he doesn’t chase the limelight, Guehi rarely gets the credit he deserves. Palace fans love him, and rightly so. He’s an exceptional defender. Guehi’s not the tallest but more than copes aerially because of his positional savvy, anticipation and spring. Ivan Toney once admitted moving towards the other centre-back to escape Guehi. His distribution is good: 97% pass completion in probably his finest performance for England, against Serbia at the Euros. He’s 25, always focused on improving. John Stones talks of Guehi as “like a big sponge to learn”.
Being the model pro that he is Guehi will doubtless swallow his disappointment and focus on delivering for Palace. And Palace fans will love him for it. And the game will respect him even more. He may have lost out on his move but Guehi has won many admirers across the game for his principled behaviour. Sadly, principles don’t always help in the Wild West that is the Premier League transfer window. #CPFC 🦅
