@Kate_Bradbury We have three swift boxes. Two had socks in the holes until the swifts returned. One didn't and was inhabited by sparrows. We removed the socks in the others when we saw the swifts last week, and literally, within 12 hours, the sparrows had moved into both. Gotta love'em!

@Kate_Bradbury A friend has built two - a large one in a field and a smaller one in the garden. 2 days after finishing the large one, two ducks moved in 😍 and she's ordering a load of plants that you recommended in your book.

@Kate_Bradbury Conundrum: inherited large ornamental pond with fish, frogs, newts, loads of tadpoles. Converted to wildlife pond. 1 fish left. Over 200 frogs, masses of frogspawn, tiny tadpoles but now not one left. BUT we now have sooo many dragonfly nymphs. Have they eaten all the tadpoles?
