Julius Malema has lectured xenophobic South Africans for chasing away Black Africans out of their country. He has told them that history will judge them harshly.
Today was more than a homecoming. It was a powerful statement that Ogun State deserves the best.
Myself and my Deputy Governorship Candidate, Alhaja Lateefat Sowunmi-Kolapo were delighted to join the State Chairman of our great party, Hon. Abayomi Tella, members of the State Working Committee, and thousands of party faithful to welcome Senator Iyabo Obasanjo back to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Her return, alongside the return of thousands of her supporters reflects the growing conviction across our state that Ogun people are tired of a government that has become disconnected from the realities of the people. Our citizens deserve leadership that is transparent, compassionate, accountable and genuinely committed to their welfare.
The message from today's gathering was loud and clearโ Ogun State is ready for a new direction. A direction built on inclusion, responsible governance, economic prosperity, and leadership that listens.
Together, we will restore hope, rebuild trust in government, and create an Ogun State that works for everyone.
The movement continues to grow. The future is calling, and together, we shall answer.
