@edwardlamb You are all missing the point. Most cyclists drive. I can promise you cars at 20mph are slowing us cyclists down. We have to overtake you, you are getting in the way. Maybe we could have the roads and you could have the cycle paths π€ππ
@AnnalisaB@theJeremyVine I drive a car and ride a bike. I just want people in cars to give me a bit of space. Where I live I reckon 99% do. The vast majority of prople that drive cars are decent people. There are idiots in all modes of transport. I am just not sure winding up the 1% makes is safer ?
@sharrond62 Adidas, Nike, all of them only care about profits/share price. Oddly being βwokeβ can be good for your share price even if it upsets your customers. It is about how funds think they are being ethical. Want to get to get to the bottom of this , follow the momey.
@Danlashman010 @sharrond62 Asked that myself , I think it is something to do with the way ethical funds invest with a pretty blunt measure. So Addidas does a few things like this to get their score up so that funds like Vanguard keep their shares which keeps the price up. It can only be for money
@thefrankiedlc Could translate that as my arguments are rubbish, I am loosing the argument because they are rubbish so I donβt want to debate it with people.
@SpeechUnion@joannaccherry Easy to criticise the Stand but a lot of organisations are making poor decisions due to fear of the repercussions. So now they can sort of sit on the fence. It might be unsatisfactory, but until people grow up what can you do ?
@mikegalsworthy They are loans, administered by banks, with interest. How shocking that institutions that qualified to borrow money from banks that lent it with interest took advantage. At least these institutions are likely to pay it all back - with interest.
