I am the grandchild (muzzukulu) of Thomas Onyango. He was a musician and a chief. I am named after him. He spoke for the 10 Commandments, and kept emphasing we should never steal, and exhorted us to reject thieves. He loved his grandchildren. He even cajoled us to eat, and sneaked us a taste of โmwengeโ when the grandmothers and mothers werenโt looking. He told great stories, and rewarded honesty. We grew up knowing that is what grandparents do with bazukkulu. They donโt tear-gas, jail, shoot them, or punish them for being against crime. Did our grandparents get it wrong, or the times have changed?
#March2Parliament is a leaderless movement. We, the people, are driving this fight against corruption. Don't let the media or police misrepresent us as "leaders." We are all contributors, united in our pursuit of a better Uganda. #StopCorruption ๐บ๐ฌ
ABOUT THE MEETING WITH POLICE!
Albeit not having met our expectations, I acknowledge @PoliceUg for having welcomed us to talk. However, I continue to encourage Ugandans to peacefully exercise their constitutional right to #March2Parliament#AnitaMustResign
