I don't know who wins the World Cup but all i want is USA getting eliminated from the World Cup in the most humiliating way, preferably by a Muslim nation as well.
NEW: As 70% of Ontarians say it’s time for a change in government at Queen’s Park, Premier Doug Ford calls a five-month timeout.

Community consultations are absolutely critical, but the choice facing the Prime Minister is clear. Premier Ford is in the middle of a land grab, and the federal government has both the power and the responsibility to stop this irresponsible and anti-democratic move.
The fact that Doug Ford seized the land from the City of Toronto in order to ram through a project owned and operated by American banking giant JP Morgan tells you all you need to know about who will benefit from his plan.
Prime Minister Carney ran on a promise to protect Canadians from Donald Trump and stand up for Canadian sovereignty. He cannot sit on the fence while Doug Ford hands more power to Wall Street.
Like Ontario Place, the Science Centre, and so much more, Doug Ford is acting as though Toronto is a playground for him and his CEO friends. It isn't. Toronto belongs to the people, and the people don't need or want the jets, noise, traffic, and pollution that this massive expansion would bring.

You are impacting housing plans for 100,000 housing units right now by not saying no to jets. Say no to jets right now, Prime Minister Carney!! https://t.co/3Cv28KdSCF #cdnpoli#topoli
The Ford government confirmed we won’t be back at Queen’s Park for 102 days.
While I’m excited to spend the summer in Nepean meeting with residents, businesses, and community groups, Ontarians deserve a government that’s willing to show up and do its job.
After calling a snap election to “Protect Ontario,” it’s hard to understand why this government is taking 5 months off while families continue to struggle with the cost of living, health care, and housing. #onpoli
No money for schools, no money for healthcare but $5B to destroy and pollute a neighbourhood and some of Toronto’s only natural waterfront habitat remaining? Something smells @fordnation
"I think Torontonians have a right to be concerned that an American investment bank is behind such a massive, and so far seemingly successful, campaign to permanently change Toronto’s waterfront" #TOpoli#ONPoli
Toronto Ontario Canada I don’t care which level but please give me a Mamdani. I tired of these soulless capitalists in power. Let’s try socialism and actually have our taxes be used to help people not corporations and billionaires
Ontario doesn’t need to “wait until the next election” to speak up.
People are angry for a reason.
Doug Ford’s Ontario has become a province of scandals, secrecy, privatization, and broken public trust.
The Greenbelt scandal. The Ontario Place/Therme spa deal. The Science Centre fiasco. The private jet controversy. The RCMP investigation.
And now attacks on transparency itself.
This government weakened public access to information and transparency protections, making it harder for journalists and the public to hold politicians accountable. Democracy depends on openness not secrecy.
Meanwhile:
🏥 Public health care is being privatized while ERs close and hallway medicine worsens. 📚 Public education is overcrowded and underfunded. 🏠 Housing is unaffordable while homelessness explodes. 💊 ODSP recipients are being left in poverty. 👩⚕️ Nurses, teachers, and frontline workers are burned out and ignored. 🛣 Developers and insiders keep getting special treatment.
Ontario deserves leadership that puts people before political insiders, developers, and backroom deals.
Enough is enough.

Since 2018, homelessness in Ontario has grown from 54,664 people to 84,973 — a 55% increase.
@fordnation has consistently underfunded social assistance and services at the scale required, failed on housing, and shut down safe consumption sites.
He helped create the problem.
100 billion for a tunnel.
No money for OSAP.
10 million for strippers.
No money for healthcare.
29 million for a private jet.
No money for education.
THIS IS FISCAL CONSERVATISM.
Every time they are in office they rob us blind. Feather their little nests like Mike Harris did. Kickbacks, gifts, missing funds. It's not a one off. Mike Harris opened the door in Ontario to privatized long term care. When he left office he just "happened" to be made CEO of a long term care company and owns a few of his own. Andrew Scheer paid for his kids private education and a minivan from party funds until he was caught. Now Doug Ford is telling us we are broke while buying a private jet for his use. It's not a bug, it's a feature. The Conservatives will watch people suffer while enjoying their perks. The suffering only adds to their pleasure. @fordnation
Israel killed two UNICEF drivers trying to get WATER to families in Gaza. Is this story going to get any coverage?
Or is the ongoing genocide not newsworthy?
Ontario is “bracing for tougher times,” you say.
Then why not put the money back into public health care and public education the services almost every Ontarian relies on every day instead of luxury projects for your billionaire friends?
Meanwhile he’s pushing billions in luxury projects most Ontarians will never use:
• $2.2B Ontario Place spa & parking garage
• $3–5B waterfront convention centre idea
• $50–130B tunnel under the 401
• ~$1B airport expansion plans
Can't afford rent.
Can't afford groceries.
Can't afford electricity.
Can't afford college.
Can't get healthcare.
Can't get a job.
Can't get an education.
But you know what I'm really worried about?
Toronto having more world-class conventions.
