I don’t think people will ever understand what this moment means to an #EmraanHashmi fan.

Since 2013, we’ve waited. Year after year, film after film, through every high and every low, we kept waiting for that one moment when Emraan would come back to the box office the way we always knew he could.

There were times when the numbers hurt. There were films we wished had received more love. There were years when watching an Emraan Hashmi film become a BIG box office event again felt like a distant dream.

But we never stopped believing.

And now, after all these years, that dream is standing right in front of us with Awarapan 2.

And maybe that is what makes this so emotional.

Because Awarapan isn’t just another film getting a sequel. It is a film that has lived with us for years. Shivam has lived with us. Its music, its pain, its dialogues, its ending, everything about it became a part of an entire generation.

This film is close to the producers.
It is close to Emraan.
But most importantly, it is incredibly close to us, the fans who never stopped carrying Awarapan in our hearts.

For years, we’ve just wanted to see that one morning again. To wake up, look at the box office numbers and see an Emraan Hashmi film taking a HUGE opening. To see theatres packed. To see people celebrating him. To see the industry talking about his numbers again.

Not because numbers define Emraan Hashmi.

But because after standing by him through all these years, we want to experience that celebration with him once again.

And how beautiful would it be if the film that finally gives us that moment is Awarapan 2?

The return of Shivam.
The return of a story we never really moved on from.
And hopefully, the return of Emraan Hashmi to the box office glory we’ve been waiting more than a decade to witness again.

We waited through everything.

Now all I want is to see Awarapan 2 take the biggest opening of Emraan Hashmi’s career.

Not just for us.

For everyone who believed in this film enough to bring it back.

And for Emraan himself.

After all these years, this one would feel different.

This one would feel personal. ❤️‍🩹
