so yeah I left at a pretty solid time but I’ll never forget what she and her boss did for me. that shit kept me there for years until I moved out of the country despite the other bullshit going on

and thankfully these people looked at me like a fellow human and not a cog in a machine and gave me grace. they later laid off the upper management member who immediately signed off on my “unexcused absences” while he was out for a knee replacement

and I was gone for almost 3 weeks after with zero repercussions. she went to bat for me and after the first week my FMLA was covered for 2 weeks either way, but she didn’t have to do that. her and upper management knew my work ethic and what I brought to the table
