Which unfortunately always leaves me questioning: do Asian American have a distinct culture? Or when pressured to pick a culture that is not-white, they more often than not appropriate black culture.

Reminder to diversify the media you consume and to be critical of the ones you do!

Note that it’s easier said than done. I could instead tune into kdramas to finally see male and female leads that look like me. But that’s not my culture. That’s not my reality. They aren’t people I could easily relate to.
