This is the happiest I’ve seen the Call of Duty community since Warzone originally dropped back in 2020.

All across social media I’m seeing praise about the Verdansk update.

Crazy that all it took was going back to as close to the original game as we possibly could.

Played Warzone for the first time in literal years last night and I gotta say...it was pretty fun. We've been begging for them to revert things back to how they were in WZ1 and this update seems to have mostly accomplished that. Bravo @CallofDuty. We're back?

Why did it take so long?

As soon as Warzone 2.0 debuted at COD Next 2022, the feedback was almost universally negative.

Yet it’s taken another 2.5 years to get back close to what we had.

Why only NOW are we getting what players have been asking for?

Wow only 3 years late! Bring back Verdansk on WZ1 engine and I’d be back in a heartbeat. This nostalgic play on an awful engine just isn’t it though. Too little too late.

This time around no WZ2, WZ3 bs, just make it a standalone game separate from the yearly COD releases & nurture it. Figure out the cheating once & for all, figure out the servers, fix bugs in a timely fashion.

I think Warzone would have been better if we'd never moved on from Verdansk and Warzone 1.

Honestly, everything since just hasn't been anywhere near as good, entertaining or memorable.

Something to be said for not trying to change a winning formula.

Haha this is rich coming from the company that botched the best thing Call of Duty ever created (Warzone) to the point of being unplayable. IF (big if) the next iteration is essentially reverting all the horrid changes you forced on us, you don't get to claim credit for any of it

How desperate do you have to be to completely take away WZ1 to try and force people to play an inferior WZ2 product? Just pathetic. We’ve already dealt with having to play quads only and zero updates, but now we get nothing? Sigh. Goodbye again @CallofDuty
