@ScottPughsley I work in the FE sector in a college in the 2nd most deprived borough in London. Many students have welfare & safeguarding issues. They worry about their next meal, let alone stationary. I provide pens when needed to help them overcome these barriers to education

@teachChemisstry @MrTs_NQTs Thank you so much for your advice. They have said that the salary is negotiable. I have 18 years in my field and have done well in my placement which is why the head of dept. offered me the cover role. I'm just nervous about asking for the higher end of the scale 😂

@rapclassroom This is fantastic! My dissertation was about ethnic minority representation in children's picture books and I used @clpe1 report a lot throughout. This report would have also been relevant. Such an important issue!
