#Watch | Tamil Nadu farmers staged a protest by burying themselves in the sand along the banks of the Cauvery River in Tiruchirappalli, demanding the immediate release of Cauvery water for irrigation. Farmers' leader P. Ayyakannu accused Karnataka of refusing to release water despite Supreme Court directions and urged the Tamil Nadu government to move the apex court immediately. He also demanded a waiver of cooperative loans for farmers, warning that without water for Kuruvai cultivation, raising the upcoming Samba crop would be impossible.
