Most beginners don’t lose crypto because they’re bad at trading.
They lose it to:
• fake “support” DMs
• seed phrases saved in the wrong place
• shady wallet connects
I made a short PDF for absolute beginners:
Crypto Starter Safety Kit
Wallet setup • seed phrase rules • scam checklists
No coin tips. No hype. Just how not to get drained.

@the_smart_ape@HyperliquidX@HTX_Global Frontends acting like compliance desks while everyone still calls this permissionless is wild. Getting flagged because a few bucks came from HTX leaves regular users needing to script the contract just to move their own stake.
Support-ticket scam pattern this week:
Fake “agent” replies under your own post with a help desk link. They won’t ask you to open the official app — they’ll ask you to paste a seed or connect a wallet. Don’t.
@HTX_Research Holding ~10.55B HTX here; claimable still shows 0, while the unlock asks for about $225k USDT locked. Could retail holders get a hold-only, zero-trade route instead?
Unlimited token allowances feel convenient until one malicious spender drains the bag.
Cap approvals to what you need for the trade, then revoke leftovers on a quiet day.
Seed phrase hygiene that still saves people:
Never type it into a website “wallet check” tool. If a page asks for all 12/24 words to “sync,” it’s already a theft attempt.
When gas spikes mid-swap, don’t keep bumping forever.
Set a max you’re willing to pay, then wait for the next safe tier. Paying 3x to “not miss” a fill is how FOMO becomes the fee.
Hot take: most “alpha groups” aren’t selling signals.
They’re selling urgency. If the pitch needs you to move money in the next 10 minutes, the edge isn’t information — it’s your panic.
