Ever wonder why allopathic medicine is quick to dismiss, degrade, and disparage holistic practitioners as “QUACKS?”
Here’s the untold history of QUACKERY 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼
Don’t sleep on these for menstrual cramps:
🐟🍣 Wild-caught salmon or sardines – Loaded with omega-3s to reduce inflammatory prostaglandins and consider a high quality fish oil supplement with your ND
🥬🥑🍫 Magnesium rich foods or supplementation - promotes relaxation & reduces intensity of uterine contraction; shown to reduce severity of cramping especially in those with low magnesium levels
🥦 Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, kale, asparagus) & increasing fiber intake - helpful for detoxing excess estrogen contributing to cramping, bloating, & fluid retention
MOST of those who still sing the praises of the modern medical establishment are those lucky enough to not have to resort to its use.
Anyone whose struggled with complex chronic illness and solicited conventional care quickly realizes how much the allopathic medical paradigm misses the mark….👉🏼
When you recognize that everything is connected both spiritually & quantum mechanically, you start to be more weary with your thoughts, intentions, words, actions, & vision. Everything you do & think actually matters, & you don’t have to fully understand how the universe works to recognize the importance of the energy you emit.
Can someone explain to me how it’s 2023 and people are STILL spraying neurotoxic, cancer-causing, immune disrupting, microbiome-decimating PESTICIDES on their lawns? 🤔🤦🏼♀️
The doctor-patient relationship should be a PARTNERSHIP, not a DICTATORSHIP.
If your doctor doesn’t listen to you and honor your expertise and wisdom about your own body, FIRE THEM.
This is the historical origin of the cultural animus against “natural” medicine, the perceived superiority of medical doctors, & the derivation of the insult “quack” used by those that vilify, dismiss, or mock natural healing modalities—including commonsense nutrition + lifestyle
Ever wonder why allopathic medicine is quick to dismiss, degrade, and disparage holistic practitioners as “QUACKS?”
Here’s the untold history of QUACKERY 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼
MDs formerly occupied a lowly rung on the social hierarchy & were even actively ridiculed.
The market proliferated with naturalistic healers (homeopaths, hydropaths, naturopaths, chiropractors) none of which were considered “alternative” as MDs were not the gold standard.
This campaign was waged for MDs to gain the professional esteem they so lacked & to eliminate competition.
As a byproduct, natural healers were demonized & relegated to inferior social strata, saddled with public suspicion, & decreed imposters, snake oil salesman, & quacks.
Part of this effort was to brand any other kind of medicine—including TRADITIONAL medicine (ie. the kind that has existed for thousands of years & is ultimately based upon ancient system such as Greco-Islamic medicine, Ayurveda, TCM & other indigenous modalities) as QUACKERY.
This report was used by Congress to de-legitimize anyone that did not practice pharmaceutical-based medicine and to dismantle the curricula of medical schools that had previously instructed in the healing potentiality of diet, herbalism or natural treatment.
In concert with the commissioning of the Flexner Report, the American Medical Association waged a systemic smear campaign intended to defame any other healer that did not conform to the kind of “medicine” in which conditions were matched to drugs.
At that time, the oil magnate had controlling interests in 90% of petroleum refineries, and he saw the potential to develop medications from petroleum and hence monopolize the oil, chemical and medical industries simultaneously.
Does the name Rockefeller ring a bell? This oil tycoon funded medical schools contingent upon the premise that their curriculums revolve around patentable petrochemical derived drugs from which his industry would profit.
Enter…systematized campaign to improve their social standing, via a concerted push for licensure, uniformity & streamlining in curriculums, & standardization in credentialing of MDs.
…as well as vilification of any medical approach that didn’t have drugs at its epicenter.
None of this is normal. And much of it is not healthy.
Many of us who are searching for how to heal may be best served by examining our relationship with—and establishing better boundaries with—the devices in our hands.
We’re not evolutionarily adapted to receive this degree of stimulation, to get constant dopamine hits, to have our attention spans short circuited & our neurology hijacked by perpetual notifications, or to have our circadian physiology dysregulated by blue light emitting screens
