The Battle of the Moravian Field took place on this day, August 26, in the year 1278. Ottokar II fell in battle. On the same day, but in the year 1346, John of Luxembourg, the husband of his granddaughter Elizabeth of Bohemia , fell at the Battle of Crécy.

@AmongTheQuadi NYC was impressive to me because it is so different. Central Park was gorgeous. Nevertheless, one place disappointed me: Times Square. I thought it would be something like Piccadilly Circus, but it wasn't. Btw, it was recently discovered that my city's roots go back past 1000.
