The casting process really taught me that you can rewrite and elevate your material even at this stage by being open to different interpretations of the characters you have created. A lesson we continued to learn with several more of our cast.

@RhiannConnor's audition changed that. Brian morphed into a pleasure indulging Scotsman who is all about the Rock 'n' Roll, except the music. Rhiann's innate likability and charisma meant a character that could easily become unlikeable was one you rooted for despite his actions.

I've been a huge fan of these guys since their amazing film Spring and make it a habit to see their films as soon as I can.

While looking for cast for @murderballadsuk we were also building our crew at the same time. Obviously at the top of our list was a Director of Photography and we found an absolute gem in the form of Alex Bieräugel (@TVRepublicUK) #Director #DoP

Alex was having none of it & just got to work lighting the scene while we blocked it out, an hour later we had the shot. It’s one of the top moments in the film.
