"I know I end up with you."
"Me too."
"So why rush?"
"We have time."

They each spent years doing strange and wonderful things the other would have hated.

Then, at the end of all things, they came together to share stories and to rest. And it was as if they'd each lived twice.
“Some things are so wonderful that it almost feels ungrateful to say ‘that’s enough.’ But beauty you cannot avoid is wallpaper. Music you cannot silence is noise. And an embrace you cannot break is a restraint. Tonight was fantastic, but it becomes less so every second you stay.”
Long ago, the High Courts of Heaven decreed the world must end in a way no mortal could suspect. Since then, humanity has been locked in an invisible battle of imagination. We’ve come close to an apocalypse a few times, but a daydream always ruins the surprise at the last moment.

"Sometimes human beings are very much like bees. Bees are fiercely protective of their hive, provided you are outside it. Once you're in, the workers ... take no notice ..." — #GoodOmens#TerryPratchett
One day some sentences refused to be finished. Whenever someone said, 'I won't tell you what to do,' 'I don't like to spread rumors,' or 'I'm not a racist,' they'd abruptly stop speaking and look around with a confused expression, as if they'd missed an exit on the highway.
One day, we were all someone else, waking up in new bodies. The rich became poor; some poor became rich. Strangers became family. Each day it happened again. The world changed quickly after that. The only way to make sure you'd have any power tomorrow was to give it all up today.
"I'd like an adventure."
"Sure. How dangerous should it be?"
"Whatever. I'm not afraid."
"And how do you want to change?"
"Excuse me?"
"How should it transform you?"
"Look, I just want a cool story to tell."
"Oh, there'll be a story. But you'll be someone else when you tell it."
No one ever fell in love with reading by being shamed into it. We fell in love with reading because we stumbled on a book we couldn’t put down, that seemed to be stitched together with ink and magic.
