This is eminently fair by Patrick. And the reason it’s fair — and just speaking for me — is that this show has a history of treating guests and listeners like adults.
It’s a sports radio show that has shown journalistic intent and query over a long period of time.
I’m sure the league wants the ASG to be the first public Q&A for Cathy Engelbert after a long stretch. Understandable. But this is a forum that would be fair and doesn’t have a history of performative WNBA takes. You could have used it as a test run for the ASG.
Cont'd: "The oft-mention Howard Terminal site near Jack London Square remains the Roots' best hope for a permanent venue — and it, infamously, was the subject of yearslong negotiations between the A's and the City of Oakland."
"The Oakland Roots soccer club won't be playing its matches at the Oakland Coliseum after this season, meaning the aging stadium will go fully dark in 2027 barring some other interest in the venue." https://t.co/quZegUG0DI
NEW: MSG's V.I.P. database assigned "risk" scores to Knicks super-fans (and Taylor Swift wedding guests), including celebs who posted about owner James Dolan, according to @Wired.
We got a first look at why "shocking" names made the list.
I can't be the only one who thinks 50 million viewers, in a country of ~340 million people, for a (potential) World Cup final featuring the home team on home soil would be completely and utterly underwhelming
Fox is projecting NFL-level ratings if the USMNT reaches the 2026 World Cup final.
A U.S. appearance could draw 50M+ viewers—potentially topping both 2025 NFL conference championship games.
Announced @Cardinals attendance 6/26/2026
Home Game #42
27,584 🤥
~59% capacity 🤔
@EmptySeatsPics gonna need your help counting these red seats again!
Where are all the fans Oli keeps talking about??
#STLCards
@BizballMaury Just me talking here, but I think Portland will ultimately make sure the Blazers stay, if for no other reason their "only child" status in the city pretty much mandates it — to wit, no one-horse sports town (in the sense of the "big four") has lost its only team since the mid 90s
Yesterday, my daughter, Kyra, passed away peacefully after a 9 month and 11 day fight against one of the cruelest diseases I’ve ever seen up close. She was diagnosed with Brain Cancer, specifically Glioblastoma. I have felt all of your concern and love for these months and wasn’t ready to be anymore specific than I was.
Kyra was a 28-year-old young woman who loved deeply and who is impossible to describe in 280 characters. While her life got stolen from her, she handled these months with courage, poise, and resolve. And all I want is for no family to feel what we feel today. For no young person to suffer the way she did.
In lieu of flowers, if you are moved to make a memorial gift, please consider “The Kyra Fund” (https://t.co/4bl8cxV1Dt)
This fund will be used solely to research treatments for Glioblastomas.
